           Ambuluwawa Botanical Garden

                              Ambuluwawa is a unique combination of nature and human creation. It is concidered the fourth  botanical garden in our country. The Ambuluwawa botanical garden which is situated 1km awy from Gampola town and also situated on a mountain. The mountain is 3500 feet in hight. There is include an conference hall of international level, an agriculture training center and a buddhist warship area.
              There are thousands of butterflies in the park. According to the researches there are 220 varieties of plants. And also there are very rare reptiles and we can see endemic plants. Soil of  Ambuluwawa is red or brown surrounding the mountain uniformly soread green forest, groves of blossomed fower plants and creepers. During the rainy season we can see beautiful wayer ways. Rock of the Ambuluwawa more attractive. There is a pagoda to of the mountain and there sre beautiful fish ponds. Picking flowers and plants is prohibited. In Peradeniya, department of agriculture maintains the Ambuluwawa botanical garden.
